When you register to take part in the e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (eYIC 2024-25), you agree to comply with the rules and terms of the competition.
Please note that when a team leader provides data relating to his/her team, e-Yantra assumes that these details are provided with the full knowledge and consent of the team members.
Please provide accurate data with proper contact details to avoid any future discrepancies. (Note that for example, if eligible for a certificate, the name as it appears on the registration form will be used on the certificate.)
e-Yantra sends a verification e-mail to each member on his/her e-mail id. Please ensure that all team members provide correctly spelled, correct e-mail ids.
Data obtained in the profile will be kept strictly confidential and used for research purposes.
Any kind of plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification of a team. Remember Plagiarism is cheating.
A team is NOT PERMITTED to change/replace any team member(s). A team once registered will remain unchanged till the end of competition.
Provide proper citation for any idea, illustrations, graphs, diagrams, or words taken from sources other than e-Yantra. Provide references for all material used in your work.
It is mandatory to attend MOOCs, lectures and talks as scheduled by e-Yantra.
Any intellectual property that arises out of the challenge, vests in the college/university, team members and e-Yantra, IIT Bombay.
Teams are free to use any hardware/software of their choice.
Any number of students and faculties in an institution or even between institutions can register.
Faculties can be part of multiple teams, students cannot.
Your team project must address a real-world problem related to United nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), namely UN SDG 02,03,04,06,11 or 13 and should give a solution for the same. This is because we believe you will have a nuanced and first-hand understanding of the problems posed by the issue you are addressing and is key to the development of an original solution.
Registration Instructions:
# Read Before Registration
Fill in the details on the registration form to get started on your journey in e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (eYIC 2024-25).
Students should form a team of 2-4 student members + 1 faculty member (Not Mandatory). Team members may belong to different disciplines and from any year.
eLSI discount is available to teams, which have at least one team member from an eLSI college. To find if your college is eLSI, kindly refer to this page: Is your College eLSI?
State/Province: Select the state/province where your college is situated.
College Name: Select the college name from the dropdown list. If your college name does not appear in the list of colleges, please click on the "Add College" link provided on the registration form and fill in the details of your college. We will add your college to our database within 24 hours.
Student Name: Fill in the full name. Note that the name as given will be used in all communications including certificates (if issued).
Student e-mail: Fill in the correct e-mail id; this will be used for verification and further communication in the competition.
If you have achieved any level of certification in the past eYRC competitions. Kindly use the same registered email id.
Mentor Name: Fill in the full name of your faculty who has agreed to guide you in this competition.
Mentor Email: Fill in the correct e-mail id of your faculty. Organization/Institute email id is recommended.
# e-Yantra Account
e-Yantra now has its own Single Sign On service in place so that you can use the same credentials on different e-Yantra portals. Therefore registered participants also need to create their own e-Yantra account. The link for e-Yantra account creation will be sent via email after submission of the registration form.
Note: If you had registered for previous eYRC , eYIC , you must have already created e-Yantra account. Hence you can directly proceed to login after filling the registration form
# ID Verification
Registered participants need to upload an individual scanned image of College Identity Card on the "ID Card Submission" Page after logging in. Details for uploading the photo are given in the "ID Card Submission" Page.
In case you do not have a College Identity Card, any other valid government identity document/card (AADHAR, PAN, Passport) copy which is sealed and signed by the college may be uploaded. For first year students, fee receipt of the current year may also be used.
Any other identification card/s not mentioned above is/are NOT permitted.
# Payment
Registration is successfully completed only after profile completion and payment. Details for the payment are provided on the "Payment" Page after logging in.
